Conventional inks

The compounds of the SAK S series, for inking and distributor rollers, offer excellent chemical resistance and durability characteristics in the most demanding operating conditions, guaranteeing high and constant print quality. The formulations, developed by the technical staff of the TECNORULLI Rubber Compound Division in collaboration with the major printers and machine manufacturers, guarantee:

• Excellent resistance to abrasion and oxidation;
• Low heat build-up;
• Long time dimensional stability;
• Easy to clean;
• Excellent elasticity and surface softness;
• High uniformity in the distribution of the ink

SAK S compounds can be used with HYBRID inks, after technical verification by the Tecnorulli laboratory.

UV inks

The UV printing sector has grown more and more in recent decades until it currently assumes considerable importance in the paper converting and metal packaging. Thanks to the collaboration with the main printers, Tecnorulli has always been at the forefront having developed the special compounds of the TECNOLAST V series with high resistance to UV inks and washing solvents, often very aggressive.
TECNOLAST V compounds main features:

• High dynamic characteristics
• Excellent grinding capacity,
• Excellent inking properties,
• High dimensional stability during the time,
• Very low heat build-up
• Great mechanical and aging resistance.

All the compounds of the TECNOLAST V series are very sensitive to conventional inks and fatty solvents so much that they cannot be used with them even for very short periods.

UV and conventional inks mixed use

The growing market demands for UV printed items have pushed more and more companies to combine this type of printing with the conventional one. Hence the need to have rollers capable of being used with both conventional and UV inks.
The compounds of the SAK M series meet the needs of printers who use U.V. inks or paints. alternately with conventional inks.
The new SAK M series guarantees:

• High chemical resistance to UV inks for paper (no limit of use)
• Good chemical resistance to UV inks for plastic (recommended use 35%)
• Low oxidation
• Easy colour change (conventional / UV)
• Excellent dimensional stability

The SAK M coatings allow the continuous use of hybrid inks.

LED UV inks

The development of LED UV technology lamps has now replaced the old mercury lamps in the new installations of machines for printing with UV inks. At the same time, the new LED UV inks were developed.

Tecnorulli, in collaboration with the main manufacturers of systems and installers, has immediately developed a specific series of coatings optimized to better resist to these new inks.

Coverings for dampening rollers

The most recent Offset machines are equipped with dampening systems that require the use of low or zero IPA; rubber rollers, metering or transfer, are therefore even more fundamental, they have evolved to guarantee the necessary water flow and the best spreading of the dampening solution. The new coverings of series IPAR HYDROFILM, successfully tested by prestigious printers, transport the dampening solution with great regularity and constancy, creating a uniform film both in the presence of low IPA and with ZERO IPA.

These coatings are based on a special mix of high quality polymers that make them resistant to the water/ink emulsion, alcohol and dampening additives; they are easy to clean from oxidations often caused by the use of poor quality additives. The new IPAR HYDROFILM coatings show better wettability even with zero alcohol and extremely easy set-up.
The latest addition to the series deserves special mention: the IPARTEC coating. Born from a study on composite materials, the IPARTEC roller is used as metering and guarantees an excellent water flow rate combined with an exceptional chemical inertia, a remarkable ease of cleaning and a stability and durability higher than the average of the other rollers.
